There are currently 4 series of Ballgrab depending on the MBL.

They are:
 

• Series 1 up to 6,800kN
• Series 2 from 6,800kN to 14,800kN
• Series 2.5 from 10,000kN to 16,500kN
• Series 3 from 14,800kN

Tested and approved to the following certifying authority specification:

• ABS (click here to view Certificate of Design Assessment)
• BV
• DNV
• Lloyds

Fatigue tested by DNV

A Series III (25,000 kN) Ballgrab mooring connector has been extensively fatigue tested to over 3,000,000 fatigue cycles by DNV in their facilities in Oslo using test criteria that significantly exceeds established norms for mooring equipment. It is available in a range of configurations, and sizes (from 2,000 kN to 25,000 kN and higher), to suit all mooring applications.
