First Subsea currently has over 700 Ballgrab® connectors in use worldwide. As part of First Subsea's portfolio, it has done a number of deployment tools for a wide range of applications. The most common types of deployment tools that First Subsea supply are:
- Buoy pull-in tools which provide a simple, remotely operated buoy abandonment and recovery system
- Heavy lift tools to provide a simple and efficient method for connecting and disconnecting heavy loads to and from the ocean floor
- Cocoon tools which are used to deploy well head protection systems
